I've been trying to think of how the Meetup could be more than just gathering of socially awkward people who are then left to their own abilities to mingle. My wife had an idea that I think is really great. At least a portion of the Meetup could be set up like a "speed dating" event, where we all go around from table to table quickly telling each other about our blogs and our Tumblr experiences. I think that could be fun.
i second this. sounds fun. way better than a bunch of nerds trying to not feel like creepers at a bar.
should we start a tag for the meet up? #meetpdx ?
